Why Donate a Tutor?

One of the most effective methods of improving a student's academic performance is one-on-one tutoring. High-quality tutoring improves a student's comprehension of content. But perhaps more importantly, it also improves a student's confidence in their capacity to succeed academically.

While children in affluent communities have ready access to high-quality tutoring, other students do not. One-on-one tutoring typically costs $50/hour or more, and often costs as much as $85/hour. Students most in need of additional support are priced out of access to private tutoring.

That's why I started Donate a Tutor. Donate a Tutor seeks to connect students from low-income communities with high-quality, one-on-one, private tutoring. Every $30 donated provides an hour of free tutoring to a student who would otherwise not have access to private tutoring.

HOW TO DONATE

Donations as small as $1 are welcome.

To donate through PayPal, click on the donate button at the bottom of this post. This does not require a PayPal account.

If you have a PayPal account, there are two donation options. You may donate using the donate button below. However, you could also sign in to PayPal, locate me by email address, and click "send to friends and family." My email address is benford7@gmail.com. If you use this second option, PayPal waives their minor transaction fee.
